DESCRIPTION:Mark Tipton Jazz Quartet with Minor Characters\n\nWe at Bagaduce Music are pleased to present Mark Tipton Jazz Quartet for one weekend in Maine\, featuring two concerts and a musical workshop. This is a Boston based quartet who met during their studies at the New England Conservatory of Music. They are arranged with Mark Tipton on trumpet\, Kai Lance on guitar\, Danial Mayer on bass\, and Paul July Joseph on drums. The quartet will present material ranging from jazz arrangements of folk music to original compositions and jazz standards. \n\nMinor Characters are highly regarded for their lively roma and django style jazz tunes and songs\, playing rousing sets around DownEast\, Maine. Minor Characters features Sheila Unvala on fiddle\, Sepp Huber on Accordion\, Robert Sanchez on guitar\, Heron Weston on bass\, and Jenny Penny on drums. Minor Characters will make for a stimulating co-bill for Mark Tipton Jazz Quartet's performance in Stueben at the new and fabulous TunkJoy Bakery Stage! \n\nWe hope you will join us for a joyful celebration of jazz music and community spirit across these three fantastic events!
