SUMMARY:Belfast Garden Club Open Garden Day: Lincolnville Master Gardener Opens Garden to View
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, August 1\, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.\, Master Gardener Suzann Gerow will open her garden at 786 Beach Road (Route 173) in Lincolnville as part of the Belfast Garden Club Open Garden Days. The event is open to the public for a $5.00 donation\, which benefits the club's civic and educational programs in Belfast and Waldo County. \n\nTrees\, flowering shrubs and colorful perennial borders draw the attention of passersby on this busy road. The real treasure lies beyond\, in the back of the house. Here\, using the techniques learned in her Master Gardener training\, Suzann has built a weave of vegetables\, fruits\, and flowers to create a beautiful compact landscape. Grape vines\, prolific berries\, and new apples provide an abundance of crops in a small space that fill her table throughout the winter season. \n\nThe fifth of eight Open Garden Days events this summer\, the event will take place rain or shine.
