SUMMARY:Belfast's Great Pumpkin Pageant
DESCRIPTION:An All Ages Art Happening to keep creative kids of all ages safe and happy this Halloween\, while they show their stuff! PLEASE check the "Discussion" for details and updates!\n\n \n\n1) Get a pumpkin (thanks to Johnny's Selected Seeds for our pumpkin giveaway last weekend!)\n\n2) Decorate or carve your pumpkin however you like!\n\n3) Get in your costumes for a Grand Procession at 11am\, Saturday the 24th\, at Steamboat Landing Park! Carry or cart your pumpkin down the walkway to a spot on the Harborwalk\, where it will be displayed for the afternoon. Don't forget the number we give your pumpkin if you wish to enter the contest! Pose for a photo on the gazebo\, watch the procession\, collect a goody bag\, or loop back to see the pumpkins.\n\n4) Vote for your favorites! Categories are: Spookiest\, Silliest\, Most Creative\, and Most Skillful.\n\nPumpkins will be transported to downtown businesses at 3:30 pm where they will be on display in storefronts for the week!\n\n**Participants must retrieve their pumpkins by Nov 1 or they will be disposed of Nov 3** If you don't find your pumpkin in a window downtown\, we will post a listing on this page.\n\nContest winners will be announced via Facebook Live on Halloween\, at noon!\n\nSOUND FUN?\n\nIN ORDER TO HAPPEN\, THIS EVENT NEEDS COMMUNITY SUPPORT.\n\n***Please donate unopened packages of candy or other treats for the goody bags at Alexia's Pizza\, or there will be no TREATS! ***\n\nWe also need help with the set-up for pumpkin display\, pumpkin transport\, event volunteers\,\n\nand prizes.
