In class Joelle\, will introduce the importance of material grain\, along with board carving techniques & paper sculpture\, to give dimensionality to collages. Students are encourage to bring other materials such as ribbons\, threads\, buttons\, photographs\, postcards or other bits & bobs. Together we will find creative solutions to attach cherished items. Tools & materials provided.\n\nAbout the instructor: Joelle Webber has spent 40 years collecting book arts techniques in college & workshop settings. She now designs classes for many different communities of makers based on her experience in writing\, paper decorating\, collage\, calligraphy\, pop-up\, paper sculpting\, book binding and box making.
