DESCRIPTION:Wednesday Waldo Walk at Basin Pond in Monroe\n\n \n\nMonroe Coastal Mountains Land Trust invites you to another Wednesday Waldo Walk! Each month\, Coastal Mountains volunteer and Waldo County resident Bindy Pendleton leads hikes exploring different trail systems. This hike will take place at Basin Pond in Monroe on March 12 at 10:00a.m.\n\n \n\nCoastal Mountains Land Trust is currently under contract to purchase Basin Pond from the town of Monroe. Joan Cheetham from the Monroe Conservation Commission will join Bindy on this hike to provide more information about this beautiful place.\n\n \n\nThis hike will cover about two miles of mostly level ground. Snowshoes or ice grippers may be ideal depending on conditions.\n\n\n\nHikers should meet at a carpool location in the town of Monroe due to limited parking at the trailhead.\n\n\n\nContact maevec@coastalmountains.org to register and learn more about carpooling. All are welcome!\n\n \n\n####\n\n \n\nCoastal Mountains Land Trust has worked since 1986 to permanently conserve land to benefit the natural and human communities of the western Penobscot Bay. The Land Trust has protected over 13\,000 acres\, offering 55 miles of trails for public recreation.
