DESCRIPTION:Join Joelle Webber in learning one of her favorite bindings. The French sewn technique is a historical binding from around the 15th century. Originally bound with vellum covers that hid the beautiful stitching pattern. In class we will create paper covers that display the uniquely twisted stitching. Ending with a multi-gathering book\, which can be used as a journal\, to jot notes\, collect favorite recipes or poems\, and more. Tools & materials provided.\n\n \n\nAbout the instructor: Joelle Webber has spent 40 years collecting book arts techniques in college & workshop settings. She now designs classes for many different communities of makers based on her experience in writing\, paper decorating\, collage\, calligraphy\, pop-up\, paper sculpting\, book binding and box making.
