DESCRIPTION:Children ages 1   4 and their caregivers\, join experienced teaching artist (and mom) Bella Weidner in thoughtfully prepared artful explorations. In each session\, Bella offers the critical balance of limited materials and unlimited\, child-centered learning processes\, so littles can engage deeply and learn quickly. Bella reveals the value of each process\, demonstrates how to support creative development without squashing it\, and makes space for adults to connect and do their own exploring. Snacks\, tea\, and storytime included! 6-week Session on Wednesdays April 9\, 16\, 23\, and May 7\, 14\, and 21. \n\n \n\nAbout the instructor: Bella Weidner has a BFA from Montserrat College of Art and an MAT from Maine College of Art and she is a certified K-12 Art Educator. She has taught art in various public schools as well as museums and alternative settings. Bella's teaching style is choice-based art education with open-ended and (whenever possible) recycled materials. Bella is also interested in blending nature-based education with arts education and is often bringing her students outside to use the natural world as their art studio.
