In January of 2023\, I retired from a 33-year career in municipal government work. My interest in the hobby of needle felting began in 2016 when I took an Adult Education enrichment class at Camden High School to learn needle felting. I began teaching this felting craft to family and friends for fun and on a casual basis before I retired. Once I retired\, I was asked by the Messalonskee School district\, where I had taken multiple enrichment classes over the years\, to teach a needle felting class in that district. I quickly agreed because I had learned that I enjoy teaching others. The written student evaluations from these school district classes have been very positive and encouraging for me\, which inspires me to pursue teaching further."
