DESCRIPTION:There is a lot of anxiety\, worry and stress that is accompanying the upcoming election. How are you dealing with that\, on top of all the other stresses and pressures we have been feeling in this very odd year of 2020?\n\nOut of concern for the spiritual wellbeing of our community\, we are planning to hold a prayer vigil the day before the election.\n\nIt is our hope to offer a time to help people free themselves from some of the burdens they have been feeling\, begin the process of overcoming the divisiveness this political campaign year has brought\, and bring ourselves as one before God. We invite you to join us.\n\nNight Before Voting Day Prayer Vigil\n\nMonday\, Nov. 2\, 2020\n\n5:00-6:00 pm\n\nFirst Church front lawn\n\n104 Church St.\, Belfast\n\nWe will have a fire in the fire pit and people can bring candles and lawn chairs if they wish.\n\nThis will be a non-partisan event. No signs or political attire should be worn.\n\nWe will simply stand and offer prayer for our nation and our people.\n\nPeople can come and go as they wish.\n\nIt will be cold\, so people should dress warmly.\n\nAll are welcome.\n\nEveryone is asked to observe the latest CDC guidelines\, including practicing social distancing and wearing face masks.\n\nFor more information\, call the church office at 338-2282\, or check out our Facebook page @FirstChurchinBelfastUCC or our website: www.firstchurchinbelfast.org .
