Join exhibiting artist Ashley Page for a hands-on papermaking demonstration where participants will get the chance to make their own paper\, while learning how to use their new found skill at home or in their studios. No previous papermaking experience is required. We recommend bringing basic art making materials\, a sketchbook and photos\, recycled paper\, or prints that you're comfortable cutting up/collaging with.\n\nThis workshop is being offered in conjunction with our current exhibition Kindred Futures: Through Our Eyes\, co-curated by Ashley Page and Eli Kao.\n\nAbout the artist: Ashley Page is an interdisciplinary artist living and working in Portland\, ME. She holds a BFA in Sculpture and a minor in Public Engagement from Maine College of Art & Design\, where she was a Warren Public Engagement Fellow and received the Heart and Soul Student Award from Maine Campus Compact. More recently\, she was awarded the 2022 Amelia Peabody Award for Sculpture by St. Botolph Club Foundation. In 2021\, she participated in a Maine Craft Association Apprenticeship under the mentorship of Lissa Hunter. Page is presently the Studio and Programs Manager at Indigo Arts Alliance\, where she works within the intersection of art and activism. Her curatorial and studio practice has been seen in the Center for Afrofuturist Studies\, The Abyssinian Meeting House\, The Portland Museum of Art\, Congress Square Park\, Able Baker Contemporary\, New Systems Exhibitions\, and more.\n \n\nWaterfall Arts\n\n256 High Street\n\nBelfast\, ME 04915\n\n207-338-2222
