DESCRIPTION:Have you ever bought a brand-new sketchbook and then you were afraid to "ruin" it? Or said to yourself\, "I don't know what to do with the beautiful art supplies that I have collected"? In this workshop for all levels\, we will explore stress-free techniques to build your skills and confidence while creating art in a sketchbook with paints\, drawing tools\, and a variety of papers.\n\nBring a sketchbook of your choice. (We recommend a sketchbook with paper that is labeled for mixed media use or at least a paper of 98 pound weight. A standard size of 5.5 by 8.5 inches makes it more manageable and portable). All other materials will be supplied\, but feel free to bring in any of your favorite writing tools\, paints\, glue sticks or papers to include in your sketchbook. Beginners and more advanced artists will all benefit from this fabulous prompt goldmine!\n\nAbout the instructor: Nan Neelley is a mixed media artist who lives and makes art in Rockport\, Maine. She has a longstanding passion for encouraging creativity in others.
