Grab your friends\, your lover\, your significant other and head over to the Waterfall Arts Print Studio. Each month we'll teach you a new simple printmaking technique. Open to all experience levels   beginners welcome! Bring some friends or join on your own   you'll meet fellow art-lovers during this creative night on the town. BYOB\n\nThis month Abbie Read will show you how to use acrylic paints and geli plates to make monotypes that build an unusual and often surprising textural and colorful surface. Printed/painted papers can then be used in a number of ways: as stand alone paintings\, decorative paper for book arts\, collage\, cards and other applications.\n\n\nMaterials will be supplied. Bring any soft\, flat\, textural things like fabric\, lace\, stencils you may have on hand for layering patterns and shapes.\n\n \n\nAbout Abbie Read: Abbie  is a mixed media and book arts artist living and working in Appleton\, Maine. She has taught drawing\, painting\, printmaking\, book arts and collage classes and workshops over the last 45 or so years. Her work is in collections cross the country and has also shown in France\, Qatar and currently in Hong Kong through the Art in Embassies Program run by the U.S. State Department.
