SUMMARY:Printmaking Mini Series: Introduction to Linoleum Relief
DESCRIPTION:In this two-part workshop\, participants will learn the basics of carving linoleum blocks to create striking imagery using high-contrast mark making. We'll be printing both by hand and with a press. Thursdays\, June 5 and June 12\n\n \n\nThis summer\, we're offering a series of workshops designed to give students the freedom to take only one or string together a few workshops to build an equivalent to our Printmaking I class. Our workshop series will introduce students to printmaking equipment including how to use oil and water-based inks\, proper paper preparation\, and how to make prints by hand and with presses. You'll work with a variety of instructors for each method to get a feel for different approaches and techniques. \n\n \n\nAnyone enrolled in a printmaking workshop or class is eligible for a reduced rate for Community Print hours   offered three times per week   for the duration of the workshop/class. These spots can be purchased along with your class fee.
