DESCRIPTION:TAKE YOUR PAINTING TO THE NEXT LEVEL WITH STEVEN WALKER\n\n\nJune 22\, 23 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm EDT\n\n\n(This is a 2-Day Workshop)\n\n$85.00   $115.00\n\n \nTake your paintings (acrylic or oil) to the next level in this two-day workshop with artist/instructor Steven Walker. Participants will learn how to capture light and achieve captivating glows within their paintings using photographs of their choice as reference. Many of the basic elements of designs such as color\, composition\, and depth will be explored\, with discussions pertaining to observation and photographing for reference. A primary focus of this workshop will be to gain a fundamental understanding of painting materials\, techniques\, and studio practices to make painting processes easier and more successful. Each day will begin with a painting demonstration. This workshop is open to all levels and each student will receive individual attention catered to his or her skill level. A suggested supply list will be emailed upon registration.\n\nAbout the instructor: Steven S.Walker has been creating inspiring works of art for corporations and private collectors for over twenty years.  He earned his bachelor's degree in fine arts at Virginia Commonwealth University with a concentration in illustration. He would later earn his masters in fine arts from Marywood University.\n\nAs a full time artist\, Steven has been included in several local and national juried competitions including the Oil Painters of America Eastern Regional\, Salon and National\, Richeson 75 Landscape Competition\, Plein Air Salon\, the International Salon and the Art Renewal Center. Steven also had the privilege of being a part of a statewide traveling exhibition with the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Steven continues to work hard on the advancement of his career\, with the assistance of his lovely wife Evelyn and studio assistant/daughter Poppy. Currently\, his work is represented in over ten galleries across the United States.
