Event Description:
On October 13, at 7 p.m., Anam Thubten will give a talk at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Belfast, 37 Miller Street, Belfast. Anam Thubten comes from a Tibetan Buddhist tradition. He is also the founder and spiritual leader of the Dharmata Foundation, and the author of several books, including No Self, No Problem and Embracing Each Moment. Anam Thubten has been teaching and leading retreats in Maine since 2001. In his talks, he shows how the wisdom of the Buddhist tradition can be applied to everyday life. He teaches in English, and his good sense of humor and straightforward manner makes his teaching accessible to a wide audience. A donation of $10-15 is suggested, but no one will be turned away.
