Belfast, Maine ?Paintings, fine furniture and sculpture, including a life-size carving of a golden eagle, created by inmates of the Maine State Prison in Warren are featured in the exhibit ?From Behind the Wall 2.0,? June 4-Aug. 30 at the University of Maine Hutchinson Center in Belfast. The exhibit is supported by The Art Loft of Rockland, a nonprofit community art center.
Camden artist Dan Daly has taught and mentored painters at the Maine State Prison for more than two years. Brian Reid organized a community outreach program to teach fine furniture construction in the Maine State Prison industries program.
