Finance Manager

The Waldo County YMCA is seeking a Finance Manager to join our team. This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.  This position is part-time up to 24 hours per week. This position has the opportunity to change to full-time with additional duties.

 

Major responsibilities include accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, managing various projects plus general ledger tasks, month-end closing responsibilities, report production and analysis for presentation to Finance Committee. The Finance Manager will track the financial performance for all programs and memberships. Annual preparation for tax return and financial statements, as well as annually working with auditors to supply needed information.

 

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and willingness to learn Daxko Accounting Software • Highly skilled with financial and numeric data • Strong communication skills, written and verbal • Accurate and detail oriented • Willingness to take initiative to  define and improve the processes and procedures • Dependable and responsive to deadlines •

 

Associate’s degree in Accounting preferred, with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting a plus. Relevant experience will be considered. Prior experience in  Business Financial Management, Daxko Accounting and not-for-profit is a plus. Competitive salary based on experience.
