Currently hiring for the following positions:

* Aquatics Assistant Director
The Waldo County YMCA is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Assistant Aquatics Director. We are looking for a service driven, self-motivated, hands on team leader with strong communications, networking and collaboration skills. This position will assist the Aquatics Director with design, compliance, and oversight of the aquatics programming content, daily operations, pool equipment, staff supervision and safety of all aquatic activities. Under the supervision of the Aquatics Director, this position is responsible for the supervision and management of all lifeguards. Duties include the scheduling of lifeguarding shifts, creating and implementing in-service lifeguard trainings.  
You must be a great communicator with excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage several projects at the same time and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will be working directly with staff and volunteers while developing pool schedules and class schedules.

Certifications must include YMCA, Red Cross, Ellis, or Starguard Lifeguarding certification. If not Red Cross certified, the employee must cross over to the Red Cross certification within six months of hire.

* Assistant Bluefish Coach
We are searching for a talented, enthusiastic, and committed person to join our Bluefish Coaching Staff.   
Under the direction of the Y Aquatics Director and the Bluefish Head Coach, this individual will join our accomplished Coaching Staff and Cause Driven team!

The Assistant Bluefish Swim Coach will be responsible for supporting the Head Coach and other assistant coaches in planning and running skill based practices for our YMCA swim team of approximately 100+ swimmers aged 6-19 from all over Waldo County.   
A successful applicant will possess knowledge of competitive and/or age group swimming and be able to utilize various instructional techniques based on age and ability. This individual will be able to form positive relationships, be a role model, and effectively communicate with coaching staff, swim team members, parents and the Waldo County Community.

The successful candidate will be assist in practice Monday - Thursday  from 3:00 - 6:00 pm Friday from 3:00-5:30 pm. Must be able to commit to a minimum of two practice days per week. The Assistant Coach will be expected to attend swim meets on most Saturdays, typically twice a month, November - March and take on some administrative swim team duties.

The applicant must be able to take and pass an American Red Cross Lifeguarding Class and attend coaches training and certification courses as directed. We’ll train the right candidate! 

* Lifeguards
We are searching for responsible, community focused, and FUN people to join our Aquatics Team!

This is an awesome opportunity for those trying to fill in part time work, or for those venturing into the job field for the first time!
