The Belfast Historical Society will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday July 24, in the Abbott Room at the Belfast Free Library to hear a talk by Megan Pinette, Belfast Historical Society president. The talk “Daredevil of the Skies, Capt. Albert W. Stevens” will highlight his achievements as the nation’s best aerial photographer in the early 20th century. He may have been the only person in history to have set world records by both exploiting and defying the law of gravity. The Belfast Historical Society presents talks of local historical interest on the 4th Monday of the month from April through October.
