This focused skills workshop is designed to help students develop control and confidence when establishing jack lines and bringing forms back to center. Emphasis is placed on coordination, pressure, and timing during early shaping stages.
Through repeated practice and individualized instructor feedback, students will work on starting and refining jack lines while managing rotation and balance. Instruction will address strategies for correcting wobble, maintaining symmetry, and coordinating both hands effectively—particularly the relationship between jack placement and pipe rotation. Students will practice multiple setups during the session.
This workshop is structured as a skills-and-drills session; students should not expect to complete a finished piece. The primary outcomes are improved centering, greater control when starting jack lines, and increased comfort navigating early-stage adjustments.
