Maine Department of Labor, in partnership with two non-profit agencies, is planning to hold a job fair on May 15, to help employers and jobseekers in the area get together and talk about hiring. The event is being planned for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at the Volunteers of America community center, 147 Waldo Avenue, Belfast.
Partners in organizing this event are the Volunteers of America and the Fedcap agency. Everybody from the Waldo County area who is looking for work, or hunting for a new job, will be invited to meet the employers who sign up for the event. There is no charge for employers or jobseekers. But there is limited room available at the Waldo Avenue room, so we have just 25 spots available. If your business would like to reserve one, please let me know as soon as possible. Tables and chairs for the event will be provided.
