Urban Sketching

Grab your pencils or ink pens, watercolors or pastels - whatever medium makes you happy! Join us for the monthly meet-up of the Waterfall Arts Urban Sketching group. This time we’ll gather in the gazebo at Steamboat Landing Park and then spread out to sketch whatever tickles our individual fancies. After sketching, we’ll meet back at the gazebo for a throw down (sharing of our sketches). Everyone is welcome!
 
The goal of urban sketching is to tell a story using any medium in any environment. It is a direct observation drawing that works to capture a moment in time and the energy of the scene. It can be a quick sketch or a detailed image of a complex site. It is created on location using any kind of media. We hope this will become an ongoing meetup with rotating group leaders!
