Celebrate Shipbuilding - Free Tour

In honor of Maine’s bicentennial, Maine Maritime Museum and General Dynamics Bath Iron Works have partnered to celebrate Maine’s proud shipbuilding heritage! Sunday, August 2, and Friday, August 21, from 10 am to 2 pm, join us at the city dock at Waterfront Park in Bath — the City of Ships – for FREE tours of the museum’s flagship: the 1906 schooner Mary E. Learn about the history of shipbuilding on the Kennebec River as on-board docents tell stories from Mary E‘s colorful past. Representatives from BIW will also be on hand to share the famed shipyard’s legacy and its vision for the future.
