Zoe Couacaud grew up in Mauritius and Australia and is a documentary filmmaker, naturalist, and educator based in Washington DC. In September 2020 she and her husband, 13 year old daughter & 11 year old son embarked on a nine-month journey to the Bahamas. It was their first experience living aboard and their first time sailing the ocean – what they didn’t anticipate was that this long-planned journey would end up taking place within the context of a global pandemic.
