Every life contains a multitude of stories. How best can you tell yours? In this soup-to-nuts 6-week Life Writing workshop for writers of all abilities—beginner to expert— Kathryn Miles will help you develop the skills needed to craft compelling narrative and memoir. We’ll begin with exercises to determine what stories you want to tell, along with how to identify your audience and theme. From there, we will explore and practice creative writing techniques to develop character, dialogue, scene and structure. Finally, students will have the opportunity to pursue guided research and to practice pitching their work for publication. A workshop-based class, this course will also provide ample opportunity for writers of every level to share their work and receive feedback in a collaborative, supportive environment. *Please note class will meet March 26, April 2, 9, 16, 23, and 30.
