Transgressed: The State of Transgender Intimate Partner Violence in the U.S.
Author of Transgressed: Intimate Partner Violence in Transgender Lives (2019) and co-author of Transgender Intimate Partner Violence: A Comprehensive Introduction (2020), Dr. Guadalupe-Díaz will review current research on transgender intimate partner violence (IPV) including definitions and prevalence of IPV, key takeaways from recent publications on polyvictimization, help-seeking, conclusions, and implications for the direction of future research, policy, and practice. His own publications and findings from the U.S. Transgender Survey will inform Dr. Guadalupe-Díaz’s talk.
