Wildflower with Asa Irons at High Ridge Farm

Portland's dreamy Wildflower heads up to Maine's Midcoast to play the barn at High Ridge Farm with local folk favorite Asa Irons. Made up of five close friends, Wildflower is a melodic soft rock band with a simple and powerful collective warmth. Having honed their sound and deepened their friendship playing up and down the coast of Maine and across the country, every instrument and melody is given space and love. Their new album, "The Ocean Rose" is out now on Los Angeles label Night Bloom Records. Asa Irons' music is hard to pin down, yet maybe Northeast Transcendentalist Folk hints at a reverence to the medium--the poetry of word intertwined with the ease of his guitar or a saw blade. Or maybe, it's the unabashed feeling he conveys as his daughter commandeers his microphone on stage and sings in basement of the community art center, creating music that haunts you of your own humanity.
