Accounting Team Member

Purpose:

Highly organized, detail oriented, team player wanted!

Hamilton Marine is looking for an Accounting Team member to be part of a close-knit CREW that depends on reliability, cooperation, and the ability to job share as they perform the functions of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and returns.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must adhere to stringent confidentiality expectations.
  • Understand classification of expenses to appropriate accounts
  • Be able to use spreadsheets to track expenses and search for abnormal transactions.
  • Be able to work within financial budgets.
  • Be able to effectively prioritize time and funds.
  • Be able to multitask and meet deadlines in a high stress environment.
  • Be available to work late and weekend hours as needed.
  • Be able to work effectively with employees, customers, and vendors at all levels.
  • Must adhere to procedures, be methodical and well organized.
  • Become proficient with cashiering, cash-up, receiving, and order taking.
  • Must be willing and able to work with other departments based on company needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • This position could be suitable for an experienced candidate, or for a recent grad, or applicant with less accounting experience looking for development opportunities.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Working Conditions:

  • Indoor office setting
