Member Relations Coordinator Sept 2025 Belfast Area Chamber of Commerce About the Chamber The Belfast Area Chamber of Commerce represents over 430 member businesses and organizations throughout Waldo County. We support our members through promotion, networking opportunities, events, and resources that strengthen our local economy. Our Chamber also operates the Region’s Visitor Center, produces the annual Chamber magazine, and publishes a weekly newsletter to keep members connected and informed. Position Overview The Member Relations Coordinator is a full-time member of the Chamber team, responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with Chamber members while supporting the organization’s daily operations. This role requires creativity, strong communication skills, and the ability to effectively promote the Chamber’s value through multiple platforms, including a weekly member newsletter, the website and the annual Chamber magazine. Key Responsibilities · Serve as the primary point of contact for Chamber members, providing support, resources, and information to enhance member satisfaction and engagement. · Coordinate and distribute the Chamber’s weekly newsletter using Constant Contact, including content creation, writing, editing, and scheduling. · Use Canva and other tools to design professional, engaging graphics for newsletters, social media, and marketing materials. · Participate in membership invoicing, payments, renewals, ensuring accurate recordkeeping & timely follow-up. · Lead ad sales and coordinate layout support for the annual Chamber magazine. · Assist in the recruitment and retention of Chamber members, including onboarding new members. · Maintain accurate membership databases and reports. · Support the planning, promotion, and execution of Chamber events, programs, and initiatives, including Business After Hours and Arts in the Park. · Provide general administrative assistance to ensure the smooth operation of the Chamber office, including Volunteer management and recruitment, handling inquiries and supporting the Executive Director as needed. Qualifications & Skills · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. · Strong creativity and design skills, with experience using Canva or similar tools. · Proficiency in Constant Contact (or other email marketing platforms). · Comfort with invoicing, payment processing, and sales activities. · Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. · Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. · A customer-service mindset with the ability to build positive, professional relationships. · Familiarity with social media platforms for business promotion is a plus. Working Conditions This is a full-time position based at the Belfast Area Chamber of Commerce office. Some evening and weekend hours may be required to support Chamber events. This nonexempt position will offer a range from $38,000 to $42,000, with a Simple IRA match of 3%, Paid Time Off and paid holidays.
