Part-Time Office Administrator The First Church in Belfast The Part-Time Office Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day functions of the Church front office. This is a 20-hour per week position, with office hours Tuesday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. Reporting This position reports to the Pastor, who will supervise daily work and coordinate with the Personnel Committee as needed. Required Skills and Education Minimum education of a High School diploma or equivalent Two or more years of experience in an administrative support role Demonstrated written and oral communication skills Strong organizational and time management skills, and ability to work independently Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, email, and Excel. Familiarity with Constant Contact is a plus. Church office experience is a plus. Duties and Responsibilities Answer the phone and greet visitors. Open and sort mail, and review email daily, distributing to the minister and appropriate church leaders. Prepare and send the weekly email with the church bulletin, announcements, and calendar as instructed by the minister. Assist with maintaining the church calendar, communicating with renters, and preparing for daytime events at the church. Collect and format information for the monthly newsletter and create and send the newsletter upon approval by the minister and the church Moderator. Assist the Church Clerk with maintaining membership records. Assist with ordering office and cleaning supplies. Other duties as assigned by the Minister or church Moderator.
