RSU #22 - Winterport School Resource Officer / Town of Winterport Contract Deputy
Please be advised that the Administrative Team of the Waldo County Sheriff's Office is prepared to accept applications for a direct hire to the position of a Winterport School Resource Officer/Town of Winterport Contract Deputy.
The selected candidate will spend the school year assigned to the Winterport School System as a resource officer, while in the summer months being assigned to patrol and cover calls for service in the Town of Winterport.
This position will fall under Class III on the current Waldo County Deputy Sheriff's Association pay scale with a base pay range of $31.14-$39.81 per hour, without adding specialty or educational stipends or shift differentials. Rate of pay and vacation accrual will be commensurate with prior full-time law enforcement experience. A selected candidate will be eligible for Maine State Retirement Plan 3C (25 years, 66%, no age) a competitive health care package and a take home cruiser.
