Summer Camp Director & Counselors

YMCA Camps share one thing, they’re about discovery! Kids have opportunities to explore nature, find new talents, try new activities, gain independence, and make lasting friendships and memories. Join our team and make an impact this summer while growing your leadership and communication skills.

 

Camp begins on June 24 and ends on August 16. Camps are separated into age-appropriate groups and can have up to 30 campers in each camp. We ARE LOOKING FOR ONE DIRECTOR. You will be working with a group of counselors to help support and lead the group. We have openings available Monday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Staff development is mandatory; training dates and specifics will be provided as part of the interview process.

 

We are looking for dynamic individuals who are willing to become outstanding role models to campers. Counselors are responsible for participating in and managing the day-to-day activities of the children. Our core values provide a firm foundation for all we do. You will help campers gain a deeper knowledge of our values through active participation in structured activities, sports and crafts. Most days will find everyone engaged in competitive and cooperative games as well as water activities.

Front Desk Support Staff

We’re looking for the best and brightest to take our Membership Services to the next level. If you have passion for people and like getting to know folks, this is the position for you!

 

The successful candidate will help the team deliver excellent service to all members, guests and program participants. This position will help promote memberships and programs. Front desk duties include assisting members and completing daily work in a point-of-sale computer system, answering phones and completing credit card sales.

 

 

Lifeguard

We are looking for part-time lifeguards available for early mornings, daytime, evenings, and weekends. We provide flexible hours and can work around your schedule. This is an awesome opportunity for those wanting part time work, or for those venturing into the job field for the first time!

 

Applicants need to be an American Red Cross -or- YMCA certified Lifeguard or be capable of completing a training course upon being hired. Lead Custodian

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading charity committed to strengthening community.

 

The Lead Custodian is responsible for the upkeep of facilities while maintaining a supportive and positive atmosphere. The position must maintain a safe, clean, sanitary, welcoming environment for YMCA members. Under general supervision, this position oversees an assigned group of custodians in performing routine and specialized cleaning tasks within pre-assigned areas.  This position is responsible to assist the appropriate administrator in overseeing the work requirements of a group of custodians, develop daily work tasks and shift schedules, train custodians, provide needed supplies, solve unusual or difficult problems. This position performs special, and emergency custodial assignments as needed in addition to regular custodial work in assigned areas. EOE
