About Us

The Commons is a new, community-led space in Belfast designed for anyone with a calling to bring people together. While it was first imagined to be a hub for professionals and entrepreneurs, it is now taking shape as a vibrant, evolving space where people of all backgrounds can organize, teach, host, and collaborate. We offer flexible rentals by the hour, day, or month, and welcome everything from small meetings and workshops to community gatherings and social events. Woman-owned and operated, the space is home to two local businesses: On the Flye, a property services company serving the midcoast region, and Lights Out, a statewide non-profit arts organization and design firm. Our goal is to foster a welcoming environment where people can not only gather, but take ownership of their experience, helping shape The Commons into a vibrant cornerstone of opportunity and creativity in the Midcoast.
