About Us

Welcome to the HOBBA group, a collection of small business owners working to help you to explore our beautiful coastline at the head of Penobscot Bay. Our communities want you to spend time enjoying and sharing a real Maine experience. Head of the Bay Business Organization (HOBBA) or as we sometime call our group “JAVA”, consists of businesses, non-profits and community members from the head of Penobscot Bay. We exist to support, enhance and promote this area – its attractions, its businesses, and its unique sense of place – within our own community and to the wider community of Mainers and tourists alike. We meet monthly and provide an opportunity for community networking, collaboration, cross-promotion and sharing of ideas. We have a website and have produced a HOBBA map of our region at the “Head of the Bay”.
