We currently have contracts with the towns of Camden, Appleton, Belmont, Rockport, Lincolnville, Belfast, Hope, Northport, Searsmont, Liberty, Islesboro and Swanville.
We have a full staff ready to help you in finding the perfect pet for you and your family. We invite you to visit or, better yet, volunteer. You just may find that walking a dog, petting cats or cleaning a room will give you a sense of satisfaction and peace.
In addition to helping hundreds of unwanted animals find homes and our supportive services to pet owners in crisis by providing temporary boarding and medical care to persons dealing with domestic violence, homelessness, short-term hospital care and are in a period of crisis and transition PAWS has opened the PAWS Cares Community Veterinary Clinic to low-income pet owners. Keeping more family pets in their homes and not in the shelter is very important to us. Our clinic is the only clinic within 100 miles offering affordable non-emergency affordable vet care to pet owners in need.
