Penobscot Shores Retirement Community is a unique oceanfront independent living option for people 55 or better looking for maintenance-free living in a cottage or apartment. Residents also have the option of fine dining with gourmet chefs Diana & Charles Evans, a husband wife team who have plated meals in fine restaurants in Massachusetts and Maine.
Looking for something different to do in retirement – you can explore the mountains of western Maine in just a couple hours to walking the shoreline just outside your door. Our shore is ideal for an easy launch of a kayak into Penobscot Bay; or how about trying beekeeping with the hives in our meadows, or bocce ball on Tuesday afternoons (drinks are optional), or gardening in our raised beds, or sitting down with a good book in our library. Belfast Senior College is always looking for instructors and students, and the YMCA has a therapy and lap pool, walking track, basketball and senior oriented programs just minutes away.
