About Us

The Club is a part of Anah Shrine of Bangor which is the Northern – Eastern Maine Shrine Temple. The philanthropy of Shrine is to provide free medical treatment to children through their Shriners Hospitals for Children.

In 2003 the Waldo County Shrine Club formed the Waldo County Shrine Club Charitable Trust (WCSCT) which owns the property and all assets. The WCSCT was granted 501(c)(3) status April 1, 2003. The principal purpose of the WCSCT is to provide educational scholarships to Maine Residents including residents of Waldo County who are former patients of the Shriners Hospitals for Children; and a secondary purpose of providing contributions to any other charity with tax exempt status including Shriners Hospitals.

The principal source of income of the WCSCT is provided by rental of the building for social events such as weddings, reunions, celebrations of life and other events.

The building was renovated to provide a wheelchair accessible entrance, accessible bathroom facilities, a modern kitchen, bar space and serving area. The hall was recently upgraded with the addition of heat pump air conditioners. There is ample off street parking and well kept grounds so to make a very appealing place for any event.
