Coaxing Summer onto Cloth: Natural Dye Through the Seasons

In this 4 part workshop, we will dive into the magic of seasonal natural dye, learning different techniques each class to coax color from local plants onto cloth, including immersion dyeing, bundle dyeing, flower pounding and cyanotype printing. The fourth class will make space for participants to create a tiny quilt using the fabrics we dyed throughout the season. Along the way, we will learn about respectful foraging, plant connection, the mordanting process, and all you need to get started dyeing at home. Beginners warmly welcome!
